A little bit of info about the Galleon Family Complex

Situated at the North end of Oamaru, just 300m from the town boundary, The Galleon Family Complex is your one stop for family fun, great meals and a place to catch up with friends.

The Galleon Family Complex has been known over the years by a few names, starting out as the Highdimi Motor Lodge when the buildings doors first opened in the early sixties. In the early eighties a ship was added to the restaurant followed by a pool, sauna and spas, while a new name was also adopted, becoming the Galleon Restaurant.

In late 2002 the Galleon went under renovations, adding an 8 lane bowling centre, while also refurbishing the bar, restaurant and function room. These changes prompted another name change, altering the Galleon name slightly to become the Galleon Complex.

2013 saw the Galleon sold on to current owners David and Tania Morris, and once again an adjustment to the name was implemented, changing to the Galleon Family Complex to better fit what the facility was all about, families.

David Morris

Owner/Manager

David has been working in the hospitality industry for 17 years. David specialises in tenpin bowling and providing entertainment within the complex for all to enjoy. Main vision and focus as a business owner is to provide knock out service, food and family entertainment.

Tania Morris

Owner/Manager

Tania has been working in the hospitality industry for 12 and a half years, Tania specialises in all areas of the Galleon Family Complex, from functions and special occasions to cooking in the kitchen, whipping up goodies for you to eat. Main vision and focus as a business owner is to provide knock out service, food and family entertainment.

Carol Hay

Assistant Manager

Carol is our Assistant Manager here at the Galleon Family Complex. She's our go to when the bosses are away, keeping everything in check and in order.

Sue Rapson

Accounts Manager

Sue joins our team full time in 2016 as our Accounts Manager, having worked for us previously in a part time role.

Solomon Taylor

Bowling Assistant Manager

Solomon is one of our friendly faces over in the bowling alley, for anything regarding bowling he's your man, he'll sort you out.

Kyle Beck

Marketing Director

Kyle joined our team in late 2015, to take care of all marketing and promotion duties including our social media platforms and graphic design needs.
